Model United Nations Conference

The MUN Conference has been striving to create a conference that intends to promote constructive dialogue and exchange of ideas to achieve the objectives. As delegates engage in discussion and diplomacy on behalf of the countries they represent, their skills in researching, writing, negotiating, and public speaking will be put to test. With a vision of focusing on "We are the World" the conference aims at being a conclave of path breaking ideas working towards promoting quality in all substantive spheres. Delegates engage in evolving workable solutions challenging the contemporary times for the general global wellbeing, peace, harmony and a productive future.

It is our belief that Model United Nations conferences are a mode of furthering international co-operation and camaraderie. Additionally, the exposure to a world of perspectives helps participants broaden their scope of thought and look at things from contrasting points of view. All these factors play their own subtle part in making them global citizens who are in a position to solve issues of international concern.

YASHASWI

"Yashaswi" is the annual felicitation event where the highfliers of grade 10 th and 12 th are appreciated and applauded for their successful academic performance in the CBSE Board Examination. Yashaswi celebrates the attitude of winning and achievement of the first milestone into the global world. It is a platform which recognizes the efforts put in by our achievers not only in the field of academia but in other pursuits of sports, extra-curricular and co- curricular.

CONCERTS

The Annual Cultural Function of EIS is an amalgamation of music, dance and performances presented by students who take on the stage with unwavering confidence. Every year the concert of EIS revolves around a particular theme, which is brought alive fantastically on stage thus enthralling the audience. During the Annual Functions each child gets a platform to show case ones talent in dance, music (vocal and instrumental) and dramatics. This is an endeavor towards building a sense of confidence in the hearts of the young ones.

SPORTS Day

Sports are an essential means for a holistic approach to education. It contributes to a balanced development in children. The EIS Sports event takes place over a period of two days with a euphoric mix of physical fitness and agility, nail biting races, outstanding talent displays, colorful drills and spectacular cultural performances for the closing ceremony. With the grandeur of the Balewadi Stadium where the biennale sports day is held, it is a great platform that is cherished by all our students. The activities, races and games during the Sports Day instill a sense of teamwork, cooperation and healthy competition among children.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY

EIS strongly professes "Leadership" as an important and imperative skill of the 21st century. We believe that leadership is best developed when imbibed from the foundation years and hence the school observes the Investiture Ceremony as a platform of nurturing the future leaders.

The Investiture Ceremony marks as a major milestone in the learning journey and in the personal development of the future leaders of EIS. On the occasion, the Student Council Committee of the academic session is established where the Head Boys, Head Girls, House Captains, Vice-Captains and other representatives are conferred with honorary titles and badges. The student senate of EIS is one of the biggest with 92 members across grades 1 to 12. The young dynamic leaders take solemn oath to live up to the roles and responsibilities of their positions through their actions and keep the flag of the school flying high. Investiture is an occasion to espouse confidence, development of leadership qualities and sense of responsibility among the student leaders.

WORLD SCHOLAR'S CUP

The World Scholar's Cup is a prestigious academic tournament and truly a Global Chapter with students participating from over 50 countries. The highlights of the program are its four major events that include collaborative writing, team debate, scholar's bowl and scholar's challenge. The program promotes learning, knowledge and skills like public speaking, debating, creativity, reasoning and writing through its unique events. This international platform is a perfect space to be engaged in thematic learning and improving academic skills that are essential for future endeavors in the professional world.

THE QUEST

The Quest is a flagship program introduced by the Cambridge wing of EIS. It is aided with a vision to welcome innovative ideas from students and enhance them from concept to development and present them to industry experts. It is a platform for young creative geniuses across Pune where they can pitch their potential ideas for an innovation to experts from relevant industries. Aligning with the curriculum of Cambridge, Quest is expansive in approach and gives weightage to major domains of knowledge: Science, Technology, Social innovation, and Art and Humanities. The top twenty ideas from these interesting and challenging domains are presented in front of the Industry Experts at the finale. The session is also marked by an insightful panel discussion on a relevant topic.

MELANGE

Melange is an inter-school youth fest of EIS that is provided to students to articulate their creative expressions freely so that they can elicit their inner talents without inhibitions, perform, discuss and debate, make art, consolidate their divergent views and experience a multitude of maneuvers to celebrate the dynamic spirit of youth. The idea of Melange as a youth fest is to nurture the creativity, skills and imagination of young people to express themselves through an array of different activities while contributing to a holistic curriculum development without limiting the potential of the children to simply academics.

FIESTA FANTASIA

EIS holds the biggest party of the year with endless entertainment, music, masti and a galore of delicious food. Fiesta Fantasia is the annual carnival of EIS, which is an extravagant event and it is revered by the students, teachers and parents alike. The Carnival was all about a joyful gathering- bringing in the parents and the school community together at one platform in celebratory spirits. This vibrant festival is marked with quirky stalls, gaming zones, dance and colorful balloons.

LEADERSHIP LECTURE SERIES

To offer extended learning going beyond the sterile strips of data which is disseminated largely to the students in schools, we hold the Leadership Lecture Series that primarily aims at bringing experiences of personalities and their thoughts on success, goals and general wellbeing that is most important for a purposeful life. The Leadership Lecture Series provides an exploration of leadership through stories and experiences shared by guest speakers. Students are invited to discuss and engage in issues as well as popular trends and topics that shape and affect their communities.

We invite personalities from various sectors like sports, education, entertainment, politics and even entrepreneurs to inspire students and talk about real life problems and discuss actual workable solutions of the same. Students benefit tremendously through these sessions as it enhances their understanding of their life ahead and gets them acquainted to challenges that they are bound to face sometime in their life.
